- Two Reale Coin
- Grade One
This rare silver coin was minted at the Potosi Mint by Assayer Juan Ballesteros between 1596 and 1605. Coins produced by Ballesteros are known for their high-quality and command a premium at the Fisher Museum in Key West. This one would appraise at $6900 with no bezel. This coin also was part of the great “Napkin Deal” that Mel Fisher and investor did at a local watering hole in Key West. The agreement, so I am told, was written up on a bar napkin, signed by Mel and his investor, and witness by a barmaid. A flyer will be included explaining the Napkin Deal. The coin is mounted in a 14 karat yellow gold bezel with a barrel hoop at the top. It is accompanied by the ATOCHA certificate of authenticity and is guaranteed genuine.
