Product Description

This silver piece of eight was minted in Mexico City between 1702 and 1715. It is a Four  Reale, and was recovered from one of the Spanish galleon wrecks which were sunk by a hurricane on July 31, 1715 off the East Coast of Florida. The obverse bears the royal shield and crown of Philip V of Spain. The reverse bears the Florenzada Cross  unique to Mexico City. It is mounted in a 14 karat yellow gold bezel with a boat shackle at the top for authenticity. It has a certificate of authenticity and is guaranteed to be genuine.
