Gold coins exactly like this were found on both the shipwreck of the Marvilla of the was sank in the Bahamas in 1656 and the 1715 fleet group of wrecks which sank on the east coast of Florida July 30, 1715. It was minted at the Nuevo Reino, Santa Fe de Bogota Mint, and bares the royal shield and crown of Philip iIII on the obverse. The Mintmark NR is to the left. The reverse features the Catholic cross of Spain with fleur-de-lis. It is more than likely a coin from one of these two wrecks but the certificate was lost long ago. It was put out in the public domain. $7500 to $12,000 and up if from those wrecks.
