SOLD!! This rare and large matrix came off of a matrix conglomerate, recovered off the beaches of Fort Pierce in 2002 by Joshua Steele The stone shows beautiful deep green and opaque color with amazing formations and geometry from the emeralds. The stone was found on the beach near the Wedge wreck (Urca de Lima) and is believed to be remnants from the large emerald haul which was lost along with the numerous other galleons in the sinking of the 1715 Fleet. Weighing in at 1702.9 Carat weight and with about 2-300 carats of natural emeralds in the piece. This gemstone matrix is large and rare in its composition, crystal formation, shape, and clarity. This large specimen is an amazing piece of history to own as well as a beautiful stone in its own right. Includes original COA endorsed by Robert Westrick, Nautical Archeologist.
