Most emeralds from the fleet roll around in the sand and are opaque and not pretty.. A similar Emerald from the Galleon ATOCHA would sell for $4000 and up today. These are increasing in price rapidly since the 300th anniversary of the sinking of the fleet was 4 1/2 years ago. I would expect in a few years they would command similar prices. Don’t miss this quality. There aren’t many around. All these would be perfect made into a piece of treasure jewelry.
