this eight reale was minted at the POTUSI Mint by the famed dyslexic assayer Juan Ximenez de Tapia, who made many errors and reversals in his minting process. Coins made by him are very collectible. The obverse bears the royal shield and crown of Philip the third of Spain. The reverse bears the Crusaders cross with lions and castles. The date 19 of the date 1619 is in the upper left quadrant above the cross. Dated coins are very scarce as well. This coin would retail for $5250 and up at the Fisher Store in Key West and that is with no bezel at all. This one has a 14 karat yellow gold bezel with a boat shackle at the top for authenticity. It is accompanied by the original Fisher certificate of authenticity and is guaranteed genuine.
