This beautiful gold coin is a two escudo which was salvaged from the one of the wrecks of the 1715 Spanish Plate Fleet which was sunk by a hurricane July 30, 1715 on the East Coast of Florida. The coin was minted at the Nuevo Reino, Santa Fe de Bogotá, Columbia mint between 1702 and 1715, and has a full weight of 6.75 g. The obverse bears the Royal shield and crown of Philip the fifth of Spain with the denomination in Roman numerals to the right. The reverse bears the Spanish cross with fleur-de-lis. Only the wealthiest had such wonderful coins in the 1700s. The certificate which accompanies this great treasure is personally signed by Capt. Kane Fisher who found the Atocha for his dad Mel Fisher in 1985. "Today is the day" for you to get real treasure of your own. This coin is also part of the original Jonah Martinez collection who is the modern day Mel Fisher, finding $4 million worth of coins on the 300th anniversary of the sinking.
