Product Description

These are nearly impossible to find any more. This is one of the very first coins ever salvaged from the Atocha, found before 1975. These coins were found loose scattered on the bottom and have sea wear. It’s an eight Reale minted at the Potosi Mint during the reign of Phillip III of Spain, 1598 and 1621. This very historical coin has the original certificate as issued with an ad for a photograph and the actual signature of Leah Miguel, wife of Ted Miguel, who was the corporate secretary. The certificate was not actually made until 1982. These were coins grabbed and held by the state of Florida until the case in the Supreme Court was settled in Mel‘s favor. Thus the name state reserve. The Obverse Bears the royal shield in crown of Philip the third. The reverse Bears the Crusaders cross with lions and castles. This is the last of these coins in my collection. It would sell for $4200 plus tax by the Fishers in Key West. Don’t miss this opportunity is it might not come again.
