This coin should be a grade one. It weighs 6.7 g which is nearly full weight, which means there is very little sea wear from 363 years under the ocean. It was minted at the Potosi Mint by assayer Q (not shown on the Certificate) between 1613 and 1616. There is a nearly complete PHILLIP III in the legend to the right of the shield. 2/3 of a small Q is showing to the left of the shield. The reverse features lions and castles representing Lions and Castle, provinces in Spain. It is mounted in a heavy 14 karat gold bezel with the barrel hoop at the top. The original certificate of authenticity as issued accompanies the coin. Grade that one two reales sell at the Fishers in key west for $6200 or more. Grade Twos sell for $5200 or more. That’s with no bezel at all. This is a bargain. Don't miss out on owning a piece of history.
