A wonderful scarce 8 reale silver cob minted in Guatemala. The obverse shows the world surrounded by the Pillars of Her cules with the full 1751 Below. The reverse shows the Royal shield and crown of Ferdinand VI, with the J Assayer’s Mark to the left. It has been plugged but that Is easily removed. Probably worn on a leather string by a sailer back in the day, and hidden within his clothing. A great and historical treasure coin. Slabbed by NGC.
